Kerrie Gallagher
Integrative therapist based in Canberra, supporting individuals, couples, young people and families navigating trauma and relational healing

About Kerrie
Kerrie’s interest and passion for understanding human suffering began with her own experiences. Having experienced childhood trauma, she began her own healing process in early adulthood, one that helped her claim a sense of freedom for herself.
She has worked as a therapist for over 19 years within community organisations, private practice, and schools in Ireland, before moving to Australia six years ago. Kerrie is a certified clinical supervisor providing supervision to therapists, lived experience support workers/practitioners.
She is an integrative therapist, meaning the core of her work is holistic and client-centred, while combining ideas and techniques from a variety of counselling and psychotherapy approaches. She holds her spirituality as a guide and compass in her work with others. Her counselling and psychotherapy work is held by creating safety, trust and compassion.
Her knowing has always been that our deepest wounds occur through our relationships with others; therefore, our healing journey must also occur through relationships. She believes that each of us holds our own wholeness within, that healing is not a place we work towards arriving at, but a reconnection to all that we are and all that we have always truly been. The therapeutic journey we take together, she believes, is about finding, moving, and clearing the blockages so that we can begin to see and feel our wholeness again. She feels deeply blessed and privileged to walk alongside others as they do this.
